About Us:
We’re on a mission to unlock more rewarding relationships between merchants and their customers, starting with changing the way we pay for things online. Backed by Sequoia, Index Ventures, and Forerunner, as well as the founders of Affirm, Warby Parker, Allbirds, Casper, and DoorDash, Catch is a new payment service that allows both merchants & consumers to save money by cutting out credit card processing fees. Everyone wins – except the big banks.
We’re a distributed, tight-knit team of ~45 today, with hubs in San Francisco and New York. Building a diverse team is paramount to our success and fostering a healthy company culture, and we’re committed to an equitable interviewing process for all candidates.
The Role:
As Catch enters a new phase of growth and scale, we are looking to grow our analytical muscle and add to our BizOps team. This role will be critical in improving our understanding of our business, customers and partners, and will partner with every function at the company. You’ll work cross-functionally using data to inform and create our business strategy and roadmap. You’ll interact externally with our growing list of D2C merchants and sales leads to obtain relevant data and share back analysis to help them understand how Catch is impacting (or can impact) their business. You’ll help develop company-wide KPIs, analyze our product and experiments, maintain our data infrastructure and influence our company direction.
What will you do?
- Work cross-functionally with the product management, partner success, sales, marketing and finance teams to make strategic data-driven decisions
- Create analyses and dashboards highlighting data-driven insights around the utilization of Catch (both b2c and b2b)
- Become an SME on Catch’s business model and the industry, driving conversations with both current and prospective merchants
- Partner with Catch’s product teams to prioritize initiatives and design/execute A/B and multivariate tests
- Design and track company-wide KPIs that are integral to Catch’s success as a company
- + something new everyday, this is a small/agile team and you will have the opportunity to invent new processes and analyses that are unknown today
What skills and experience do you need?
- 5+ years in an highly analytical role, like business operations or data analysis at a startup or management consulting firm
- Advanced SQL, Excel skills, and intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills
- Thrive in autonomous and ambiguous roles, in part thanks to ruthless prioritization and project management skills
- Ability to synthesize data into clear, concise and impactful takeaways
- A/B testing and product experimentation experience
- Proven track record of ability to identify need for new processes and leading implementation of such processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience quickly developing client relationships
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive and dedicated teammate
Bonus points for:
- Robust understanding of the ecommerce landscape and key business metrics
- Advanced Python skillset
- Data visualization experience (experience utilizing BI tooling), and Snowflake / data warehouse experience
- Experience with extracting complex datasets, and design of ETL flows. Experience with an ETL SaaS tool like Fivetran, Stitchdata
- FP&A and financial modeling experience
