Role summary

As the Product Marketing Manager at Popup, your role is critical in ensuring the successful launch, positioning, and promotion of our products and services. You will bridge the gap between product development, marketing, and sales teams, defining the product's value proposition and understanding the target market. By developing effective marketing strategies, you will drive product adoption and revenue growth.

Additionally, as a key contributor to our Saas Ecommerce Platform's growth, you will drive brand awareness, establish industry thought leadership, and fortify our visual identity. Your efforts will attract qualified leads and maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing materials, playing a pivotal role in the expansion of Popup's platform's presence and success.

Key role responsibilities

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to gain a deep understanding of the target audience, customer needs, and competitors.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.

    Customer Insights:

    • Gather customer feedback and insights through surveys, interviews, and data analysis.
    • Identify opportunities for product improvements and better understand customer needs.

    Competitive Analysis:

    • Monitor competitor products and marketing activities.
    • Identify competitive strengths and weaknesses, and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

    Product Positioning and Messaging:

    • Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product from competitors and resonates with the target audience.

    Go-to-Market Strategy:

    • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for product launches.
    • Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and promotional activities.

    Collateral and Content Creation:

    • Create marketing collateral and sales tools, such as product brochures, sales presentations, case studies, and whitepapers, to support sales and marketing efforts.

    Sales Enablement:

    • Provide sales teams with the necessary training, materials, and information about the product to effectively communicate its value to potential customers.

    Customer Advocacy:

    • Identify and nurture customer advocates who can provide testimonials, case studies, and references.
    • Help build credibility for the product.

    Product Launches:

    • Plan and execute product launches to ensure a successful introduction of new products or features to the market.

    Brand Awareness and Marketing Strategy:

    • Boost brand awareness and Net Promoter Score through creative marketing campaigns and messaging.
    • Fortify the company's visual identity and increase website traffic.
    • Develop and implement a content marketing strategy to establish industry thought leadership.
    • Leverage co-marketing opportunities with partners.

    Market Education and Thought Leadership:

    • Establish the company as a thought leader in the industry.
    • Create content, speak at events, and participate in industry forums.

      Lead Generation and Customer Conversion:

      • Manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience.
      • Grow new leads by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content.
      • Establish analytics with sales to refine our process to convert customers.

      Email Marketing and Lead Nurturing:

      • Grow our email list organically and manage various email campaigns.
      • Segment lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions.
      • Measure results and optimize lead nurturing workflows.

        Cross-Functional Collaboration:

        • Collaborate with product development, sales, customer support, and other teams to align product strategy with overall company goals.
        • Collaborate with product teams to ensure a consistent brand voice across all marketing materials.

        Performance Tracking and Analysis:

        • Track the performance of marketing campaigns and product adoption metrics.
        • Measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement.

                  Documentation and Process Improvement:

                  • Develop documentation for processes, A/B tests, and promotions.

                  What you need

                  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Product Marketing Manager or in a similar marketing role in the SaaS or Ecommerce industry.
                  • Experience in leading successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
                  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the SaaS and Ecommerce industries, including current trends, best practices, and competitive landscape.
                  • Familiarity with no-code platforms and their applications in the Ecommerce sector.
                  • Product Expertise: Strong knowledge of Popup's products and services, their unique value propositions, and target market segments.
                  • Market Research and Analysis: Proficiency in conducting market research to gather customer insights, identify opportunities, and analyze market trends and customer feedback.
                  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Demonstrated ability to develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates Popup's products from competitors and resonates with the target audience.
                  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Proven track record in developing and executing effective go-to-market plans for product launches, including planning marketing campaigns and coordinating sales enablement activities.
                  • Content Creation and Marketing Collateral: Experience in creating marketing collateral and sales tools, such as product brochures, sales presentations, case studies, and whitepapers, to support sales and marketing efforts.
                  • Sales Enablement and Collaboration: Ability to provide sales teams with the necessary training, materials, and information about the product to effectively communicate its value to potential customers.
                  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with product development, sales, customer support, and other cross-functional teams.
                  • Brand Awareness and Thought Leadership: Proven ability to drive brand awareness and establish thought leadership in the industry through content creation, speaking engagements, and participation in industry forums.
                  • Lead Generation and Customer Conversion: Experience in managing lead generation efforts and optimizing lead nurturing workflows to convert site traffic into qualified leads and customers.
                  • Email Marketing and Customer Engagement: Proficiency in managing email marketing campaigns and segmenting email lists based on customer behaviors and interactions.
                  • Performance Tracking and Analysis: Strong analytical skills to track the performance of marketing campaigns and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts using relevant metrics and data analysis.
                  • Customer Advocacy: Ability to identify and nurture customer advocates who can provide testimonials, case studies, and references to build credibility for Popup's products.
                  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Skill in developing documentation for processes, A/B tests, and promotions to ensure effective marketing operations.
                  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills to effectively communicate ideas, strategies, and results to internal teams and stakeholders.
                  • Adaptability and Creativity: Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and creative problem-solving abilities to develop innovative marketing solutions.
